A nice touch was the covid kit in the room containing everything you would need during your stay. We had a small teething problem with the water in the bathroom but this was sorted very quickly. We had booked the dinner bed and breakfast option with 2 courses for dinner. the food is excellent but be warned they do not believe in small portions (unless requested) even the prawn salad we had was huge. The wine available was well priced and the 2 we tried were very good. On returning to the hotel on Sunday morning the staff greeted us to say there had been a problem in the room and they had to move us to a different one whilst ours was repaired. We were moved to a four poster room with a much better view over the village. Breakfast was served in a conservatory overlooking a field full of sheep and lambs. Again the food was excellent and service quick and friendly. The overriding memory of our stay at the Inn on the Moor was the friendliness of the staff, whatever they were faced with they dealt with it with a smile. Usually you pick someone out... Despite the covid restrictions the hotel provided a good atmosphere and felt a very safe place to stay. We will return in the future. More

  Me and my partner visited Goathland yesterday 30-6-21 we were cold and stuck for 3hrs before a bus back home. We spotted the Inn on the moor just behind aidensfield... read more garage. They were very dog friendly and we went in for a drink. The young lady who served us was lovely. She tried to find us somewhere to eat in the area due to our wait, she back and fitted us to eat the hotel. The young lady who later took over the evening shift made sure we had our meals ready for us at 5pm when evening meals started. Food was fantastic and service too. We would definitely book into this hotel when we visit again. Thank you for great service you girls went above and beyond to help us. Definitely recommend to others. See you again soon

Very Covid aware so that was good.
