Good to have proper homemade onion rings, lovely sautéed field mushrooms, great quality bacon and sausages, and a nice selection of wines to choose from. Also interesting collection of gins. Rooms are clean and comfortable if not luxurious. Only a couple of areas disappointed - pillows were poor (and the whole place has quite challenging interior decor which I didn’t find terribly restful). And - minor gripe - my black pudding at breakfast had been deep fried to a greasy crisp. More
