Our stay at The Inn on the Moor was a gift from family to celebrate a 'Big Birthday' and wow what a gift it turned out to be! From the... read more moment we arrived we were treated with such care and attention by all the staff and we were made to feel very special. It quickly became very clear that employees here really do want to make sure that guests have the best time possible. This is a very dog friendly property and I have a dog allergy, but everybody went above and beyond to make sure I was alright. Our room was very spacious, modern and spotlessly clean, with the bonus of both a large bath and a separate shower. Snow white, thick towels were provided as well as a good selection of toiletries. We ate in the little dining room which we were delighted about as it is such a lovely, quiet little room. The food was absolutely delicious, piping hot and the portion size was massive!! There are a good variety of dishes on the menu and the options we chose were lovely. What sets this hotel apart is the attitude of all the staff- They clearly enjoy working at The Inn on the Moor and they were all so genuine and friendly. A massive 'Thank You' to Nicola, Emma on Reception ( Nicknamed 'Bless You' as we forgot her name and it was her favourite saying!!), Emily... More
Just returned from a three night break at the Inn on the Moor - the first time we have stayed here although we know Goathland well. We had a "cosy... read more double" room which had super moorland views and all the facilities we could have wanted. The en-suite is well equipped with a super shower and lots of towels.
Our package included a dinner allowance which was generous enough for us to enjoy our pick of the extensive menu. All the food was delicious, freshly prepared, big portions (smaller portions available) and served very professionally - whether in the conservatory or the bar area.
The bar is well stocked, warm and welcoming, the lounge area great for either a drink from the bar or coffee etc.
All the staff are outstanding - friendly and welcoming - nothing appears to be too much trouble. More
