The room was very quite and had everything we needed. On arrival, Teddy (our dog) was given a welcome pack which consisted of some treats, poo bags, and a toy. He was also provided with food and water bowls, a basket and a snuggly throw. We were all welcome in the bar and lounge areas for breakfast and evening meal. I thought the menu was extensive although my wife would have preferred more choice of fish or chicken. Our meals were all excellent and the staff were absolutely fantastic with nothing being too much trouble. The hotel is a little dated but very comfortable for all that. There is plenty of parking and the hotel is vey convenient for the North Yorks Moors Steam Railway station about 400m away. The village was used to film the 'Heartbeat' TV series and there are plenty of references to that. Would we stay here agian? YES WE WOULD!!!
