It’s been a long time since we have been able to say “Welcome to The Inn on the Moor”. But, as the end of lockdown looks a little closer for us all, we are getting ready to be able to open our doors once again.

With lockdown lasting a little longer than we all expected, we have tried to make the most of our time. Over the last few months we have been working on some exciting (and some slightly geeky) projects.

There’s been refurbishment and redecoration of bedrooms (as well as other rooms). We’ve tested new technology and re-designed our booking system. All so we can continue to improve our friendly and professional customer service.

We’ve designed new packages, created new promotions and even tried and tested a whole new drinks menu – which was amazing!

But one of the most exciting new things we have decided to start…is this! A Blog!

Many of you who already know us at The Inn, understand that we absolutely LOVE where we live. We love our village, we love the moors and we absolutely love North Yorkshire.

The North York Moors is jam-packed with inspirational people and places that make the area one of the most popular places to live and to visit.

Our family have been fortunate enough to call the North York Moors ‘home’ for over 100 years. We’ve seen a lot change in this time and quite a lot stay the same.

When it comes to recommendations on places to visit, stay, eat and drink – we think the people who live there, know where’s best. That’s why we’re launching our very own Inn-siders‘ Guide to the North York Moors.

So each week, as we update you on news from The Inn, we’ll also help you discover new ways to explore the North York Moors.

Although it’s been a slower start than we had hoped, 2021 is a very special year for us at the Inn on the Moor Hotel.

On the 27th May, it is 5 years since we first opened our doors to friends, family, customers and guests alike.

So much has changed at The Inn since that very special (and slightly daunting) weekend! So, over the next few weeks, we’ll dig deep into the photo albums and reminisce with you!

In celebration of being 5 years old this year, we have some exciting news. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be releasing some brand new short break packages and special promotions. We even have a very exclusive birthday competition lined up too.
